My name is Christine “Cece” Jones and I have a bit of a sweet tooth.

My aunt, who I affectionally call Auntie Cupcake, is the baking queen of our family. Her red velvet cake is the highlight of every Thanksgiving and Christmas family gathering. At a young age, she took the time to teach me the fundamentals of baking after I insisted she share her famous red velvet recipe with me. I was getting impatient and couldn’t wait for the holiday season just to eat a good red velvet cake. Twice a year just wasn’t enough! I’m also lactose intolerant now so I’ve had to learn how to make lactose free dishes and treats.

Although I might not be ready to usurp my Auntie Cupcake as the baking queen within our family, I’ve grown a lot as a baker as well as a chef since I first started. So much so that my aunt has now given me the nickname, “Cupcake.”

Strongly believe that sharing a meal and indulging in a sweet treat can bring people together and positively change the course of someone’s day. I’m delighted to bring a smile to someone’s face through my baking and cooking.
